Stonehenge and Bath in a day

October 14, 2017

We went with a Group On deal called Premium Bus Tour for 40 pounds per person.

It was a first in first serve basis with the seats. We were lucky enough to get the front seats on the top deck which gave an awesome panoramic view of the rolling scenery. There is a guide that told us about the history and mystery of Stonehenge and a nice commentary on Bath. The bus drops everyone off at the coach parking bay and there is a shuttle bus that takes you to the stones. It was really nice to see them up close and personal even if there is a thin rope boundary separating us.

At the Visitor centre, there are recreated small huts of how Neolithic people lived. Inside there were guides showing us the tools and furniture that Neolithic people used.

Bath was beautiful and busy! Our highlight was having lunch at a vegetarian restuarant called Acorns. It was great they were able to make these vegan!

Bath is also famous for these buns. They usually come plain and you add your topping.

Here’s some photos of the surroundings… Oddly enough, the Circus really looked like the Royal Cresent.
