Respro Techno
The Respro Techno is a pollution mask designed for a comprehensive protection against pollutants for a gerenal use around city environements. It is made from Neoprene and it sports a top of the range Techo specific filter which is a Hepa-Type filter for sub-micron particulate pollutants, with a DACClayer for filtering gases and vapours.
Pollution Reduction:
The mask has a removable filter so when it gets dirty, it can be replaced easily. I noticed instantly when I started wearing Respro masks the difference in air quality when not wearing them. The mask will take a bit to get used to but you will notice the change once you stop using it!
Filters out: A broad spectrum of pollutants including PM2.5 and sub-micron particulates and unburnt fuel
Comfort & Fit:
The Techno mask fits to size. I ordered a medium and although it was a bit loose to begin with, it is easily tightened by the velcro straps. The Neoprene Material can get a bit sweaty for longer rides, so if you’re sweaty like me it is worth looking into the Ultralight Mask.
Price:
The Techno mask retails for £32.99. You can find better deals if you order online and wait for sales. Given the mask is used every day, I think it is worth the investment.
Respro Ultralight
The Respro Ultralight is a pollution reduction face mask design especially for warmer climates and provides exceptional breathability in all rides. The Hepa-Type sports filter is fitted as standard – the perfect PM2.5 filter for urban areas high in diesel particulates or hot, dusty conditions.
The Ultralight comes with a Powa Elite valve and a unbreakable nose clip and carry bag.
Pollution Reduction:

It is very interesting to see that it captures quite a lot of pollution as you can visually start to see the filter get grey and dark. One point is that you can still smell fumes and or other smells can come through.

Comfort & Fit:
The mask fits a size small and I had opted for the Medium size. It still fits quite small as the velcro bands can just have enough contact to stick onto!. The fit on the face is perfect. Because of the more flexible and breathable material, it moulds around the face really securely to ensure a good fit.
Price:
The Ultralight mask retails for £46.99 which is quite expensive when you think about it. You can find better deals if you order online and wait for sales. Given the mask is used every day, I think it is worth the investment.
Summary:
Both masks provide excellent pollution reduction at a reasonable price. Living in a large populated city like London means it is a must have for cycling. I personally prefer spending an extra bit of money to buy the Respro Ultralight mask as it has excellent breathability and also comes with a carry case.

Hey guys, I bought this same mask and it fell apart within a week, and the company refused to replace or exchange it. I feel like they cheated me, and was ripped off by Respro.

Mines still going strong, and have bought spare filters to replace as it does get dirty / smelly after a while. I also hand wash it from time to time and holds up well. Hope they can help you out !
